When utilities lack standardized processes to evaluate maintenance notifications, they risk extensive backlog and inaccurate evaluations. We developed an end-to-end solution for efficient evaluation, documentation, data collection, and routing for maintenance notifications.
Our client needed to evaluate assets queued for tower maintenance, but lacked a standardized process for assessment and documentation. As a result, many projects were not evaluated appropriately, which led to inaccurate, unnecessary work performed on the asset.
Leveraging SAP, existing drone photos, and GIS, we standardized job packages, ensuring they contained essential engineering details, bill of materials, and As-Built documentation, before distributing them to field crews for implementation.
5,706 maintenance projects were evaluated and documented. By offloading administrative tasks, we saved over 1,400 engineering hours and standardized job packages while reducing labor costs and fabrication waste.
