Our suite of solutions refines and standardize existing datasets, laying the groundwork for an accurate asset history and real-time insights that digital twins rely on.
To lower ignition risk, our client sought to identify deviations from compliance standards set by the utilities commission. This required assessing 46k wire clearance spans in one year to identify deviations. Our client was grappling with the manual completion of assessments, tedious tracking and recording of work, potential loss of data, and the need for constant creation of reports tailored to various stakeholders and departments.
We implemented a robust platform that streamlined the monitoring process and encouraged data accuracy with a standardized user experience. Dashboards for executive reporting, prioritization, order management, and order status aided informed decision-making. When deviations were detected, notifications were created and PLS CADD Digital Twin models were updated to reflect mitigation work for spans.
Time spent on assessment tasks was reduced by 95%, reporting time for project supervisors was reduced by 90% and over 1300 deviations were identified. These time-saving achievements allowed our client to redirect their efforts towards more critical tasks, rather than wrestling with spreadsheets or worrying about data loss. With a meticulous review process, data fed into digital twin models is kept up to date with maintenance and construction efforts.
